Touching Life

This in-camera image of a Norfolk Island Pine tree’s bough almost touching a full moon took me out of my literal comfort zone when, during post-processing, I adjusted the colors in the digital file, as shown.
Then, as an experiment, I posted on my personal Facebook page.
Well, it became wildly popular amongst my friends and collectors as they find peace in its tones.
I took this image at the end of my urban alley looking across a busy road with a birding lens and a sturdy tripod. A couple of my professional photography colleagues have tried to replicate this look (I’m flattered) with their own gear and they have moved on to other subjects.
Sometimes, as a retired journalist, I skip the “why” in the “who-what-when-where-how-why” method of questioning and just go with it.
